It is located inside the premises of the Ministry of Education, it is an immense center of rare and precious books and manuscript of Nepal. It also offers a glimpse of the interior parts of a typical Nepali neo- classical palace and is open for the public except on Saturdays and other government holidays. The library opens from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm in summers and from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm in winters.
