Mountain Flight

Mountain flights offer spectacular views of the Himalayas. It is ideal for those who have limited time and cannot afford to go for trekking, still would like to make a record of flying over world’s highest mountain range within hours.

There are various airlines operating mountain flights during October-May. The most enchanting way to experience the high peaks along with many other magnificent sceneries, these flights have opened up a wonderful opportunity for many mountain lovers to meet their wildest dreams, to get closer with the untouched Himalayan heights.

The mountain flights commences early in the morning and last for about an hour. You will be greeted by Himalayas including 8 of the world's highest mountain peaks from a very close range. Your visit to Nepal simply cannot be considered complete until you see the ever melting beauty of the celestial Himalayas on board a mountain flight.

As the plane glides among the clouds, the mountains become closer and closer. First to their far left visitors see Gosaithan, also called Shisha Pangma, standing at the majestic height of 8,013 m. Immediately to the right of Gosaithan, there appears Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m), a mountain that looks like the number 8 lying down and covered with snow. To the right of Dorje Lakpa is Phurbi Ghyachu, which looms over the Kathmandu Valley.

Mountain Flights are enjoyed by thousands of visitors all the year round. From February till April and October & November is considered as prime time to enjoy mountain flights.
