Nirekha Peak: The Nirekha Peak lies very close to the Nepal-Tibet border, among the high mountains of the Everest, Cho Oyu, and Mt. Cholatse. The peak is a part of the Mahalangur Range, and stands at a height of 6186 meters. The Nirekha Peak lines in the chain made by the Lobuche & other summits. The ascent to the peak is considered to be a challenging one. If you looked from the Gokyo Ri summit toward north, you’ll see that the Everest towers above the Nirekha from northeast, and the Changtse lies just northwest of the Nirekha.

Day 10 Gokgyo to Thangna. Day 11 Thangna to Nirekha Base Camp. Day 12 Acclimatization at Nirekha Base camp. Day 13 Nirekha Base Camp to High Camp. Day 14 High Camp to Nirekha Summit (6169m) Day 15 Nirekha Base Camp to Chola pass and Camp at Zongla. Day 16 Zongla to Gorakshep. Day 17 Gorakshep to Kalapatter to Lobuche. Day 18 Lobuche to Dingboche. Day 19 Dingboche to Tangboche Day 20 Tangboche to Namche Bazaar. Day 21 Nacme Bazaar to Lukla. Day 22 Lukla to Kathmandu by flight.
Royalty for Climbing the Nirekha Peak: The Nirekha Peak falls in the Group A of the trekking peaks. For all climbing peaks in the category of Group A, the Nepal Government charges a royalty of U.S Dollars 500 for up to seven members, with additional $ 100 for each additional member up to 12 people.
Garbage deposit A refundable garbage deposit has to be made for climbing any of the Group A & Group B category climbing peaks. The deposit mount of USD 250 must be deposited with the Nepal Mountaineers Association (NMA) which makes the refund according its provisions. Notes: · Each climbing team will fill up an application form provided by the NMA mentioning the partner trekking agency registered with the HMG and NMA and accompanied by a sirdar/guide registered with NMA. · The permit is valid for the period of one month only. The maximum number of the group size will be 12 persons. · An additional 25% charge of the total amount of the initial fee will be made for each extended week. · The leader or climbing member of the team must collect the permit in person from Nepal Mountaineering Association.
