Paldor Peak

The Paldor Peak lies in the nearest Himalayan range from Kathmandu - in the Langtang region. The Paldor stands with a height of 5,896m at the southeast side of the Ganesh Himal – the Ganesh Himal sometimes can be seen from some high places in kahtmandu on a clear day. Paldor divides the hills of the Tiru and Karpu Dandas making way for the tributary of the Trisuli – the Mailung Khola. The scenes  from Kathmandu on a clear winter day of  white silver linings that radiate & reflect the sunrays are made by the taller cousins of Paldor – by snow peaks of the  Pabil (7,101m), Logsang Karpo (7,150m, Ganesh I (7,406m) and Ganesh V (6,950m).

The Paldor Peak may be ascended as the extension of the trek in the Langtang Himalayas that begins from Syabru. Syabru is a 6 hours drive from Kathmandu. If you do not wish to take a long drike, begin your trek from Sundarijal, a hours’ drive east of Kathmandu. Decending from the Paldor toward Trusuli is much easier, a four to five days trek downhill.
There are four climbing approaches possible for making it to the Paldor Summit: 1) North-East Ridge (Tilman's Route) 2) South-East Ridge 3) South-West Buttrest 4) West Ridge
