The Pisang Peak lies in the Annapurna Region, standing at a height of 6091 meters. A German expedition team made the first ascent on Pisang way back in 1955 before making the Chulu East ascent. The Pisang is considered another easy trekking peak in the region, and the spectacular views of Annapurna range of mountain including Gangapurna and Tilicho makes the ascent even more enjoying. Still, the steep snow slope at the near the summit requires careful climbing.
The Pisang Base Camp can be reached from the village with the same name. a high camp is generally set up at a height around 5500 meters on the south-west ridge. The trek begins from Besi Sahar, some 6 hours drive from Kathmandu on the Pokhara Road.
Suggested Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu/Transfer to hotel. Day 2: Sight seeing in Kathmandu/Trek Preparation Day 3: Drive to Besi Sahar Day 4: Trek to Bahundada Day 5: Trek to Chamje Day 6: Trek to Dharapani Day 7: Trek to Chame (2670m). Day 8: Trek to Pisang (3200m). Day 9: Trek to Base Camp (4380m). Day 10: Acclimatization and climbing Practice. Day 11: Climb summit. Day 12: back to Manang. Day 13: Trek to Thorong Phedi Day 14: Thorong Pass– Muktinath Day 15: Trek To Jomsom Day 16: Fly to Pokhara. Transfer to Hotel. Day 17: Drive back to Kathmandu.

Garbage deposit A refundable garbage deposit has to be made for climbing any of the Group A & Group B category climbing peaks. The deposit mount of USD 250.00 must be deposited with the Nepal Mountaineers Association (NMA) which makes the refund according its provisions.
Notes: - Each climbing team will fill up an application form provided by the NMA mentioning the partner trekking agency registered with the HMG and NMA and accompanied by a sirdar/guide registered with NMA.
- The permit is valid for the period of one month only. The maximum number of the group size will be 12 persons.
- An additional 25% charge of the total amount of the initial fee will be made for each extended week.
- The leader or climbing member of the team must collect the permit in person from Nepal Mountaineering Association.
