Shigu Chuli

Singu Chuli: The Singu Chuli, also known as the Fluted Peak, is the third highest of all trekking peaks. The peak stands at a height of 6501m, and lies in the Annapurna mountain region. Singu Chuli is the first summit on the long ridge thrown down from Tarke Kang (Glacier Dome), which separates the South and West Annapurna Glaciers. The steep peak covered with deep ice blocks makes the Singu Chuli a challenging attempt. It takes a six or seven days walk from the roadhead at Pokhara to arrive at the lowest base camp of the mountain. Further two higher camps are required at the approach of North East Face, and the other nearest to the summit at 5,500m.

However, the attempt is amply rewarded with such opportunities of visiting & viewing such beautiful panoramas like Ghandruk-Chomorong, Ghorepani, the Fish Tail (Machapuchre Base Camp) and Annapurna Base Camp. The Singu Chuli falls in the Category B of the NMA Trekking Peaks.
