Kathmandu based tour company offer adventure, wildlife, and cultural tours in Nepal and Tibet, as well as travel and trek services. These companies offer their service to different travel needs, such as, at travel accommodation, transportation, car rental, tourist attractions and retail travel.

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) works to enhance the image of the country as a tourist destination through participation in travel fairs and marts and the diversification and expansion of tourism products. It also caters to the needs of the tourists by identifying the difficulties and assisting the tour entrepreneurs in providing quality service.
The NTB is primarily focusing on tourism products such as adventure tourism (which include mountain treks and low altitude treks), sightseeing trips (mainly to Pokhara and Kathmandu), religious tourism (at Buddhist and Hindu pilgrim centers) and cultural tourism (at historical sites).

The NEPAL ASSOCIATION OF TOUR & TRAVEL AGENTS (NATTA) was established in 1966 by some travel agents, who felt that it was the time to work together to formulate sound business principal and to regulate the travel industry in Nepal. The NATTA is a government recognized official association of the Nepal based travel and tour agents. Similarly, TREKKING AGENTS ASSOCIATION OF NEPAL (TAAN) is a official association of the trekking agents which regulates the trekking activities in Nepal.

While booking a package for Nepal, make sure that the Company is a member of the NATTA or TAAN among others.
