Travelling by Air

All air passengers from foreign countries land in Nepal’s only international airport in Kathmandu – the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Various international airliners like Lufthansa, Indian Airlines, Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, etc including Nepal’s national carrier the Nepal Airlines conduct direct flight to Kathmandu form Bangkok, Bombay, Delhi, Calcutta, Dhaka, Frankfurt, Singapore, Lhasa, London, Paris, etc. However, the schedules keep changing; therefore please contact your local agent for the latest schedules.

The easiest route to enter Nepal for the tourists from Europe, Americas, & Australia is via Bangkok, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and from the major Indian cities. However, the European & American tourists heading directly for Nepal find the Delhi route tedious and costly.
